Surrey Heath Borough Council – Launches Local Borough Photography Competition…


Are you an avid photographer? Do find yourself always looking for that perfect picture? Then why not share your passion and send your work into the ‘My Surrey Heath’ Photo Competition.


Celebrating what you love about the borough you live in, the competition aim is to capture snaps that make you proud to live in Surrey Heath. Your photo can be of anything you like – Internal, External, People or Places – but must be within the borough of Surrey Heath.46318_10151270494343323_412102633_n

The Photo’s Will Be Judged In Two Categories:

Young Photographer (Under 18 Yrs Old)

Adult Photographer (Over 18 Yrs Old)

Note* And there is no minimum or maximum age limit

 The Photographs will be judged by representatives from Surrey Heath Borough Council, Surrey Heath Camera Club and UCA Farnham – Surrey’s Leading Creative Arts University.

The winners will win a canvas print of the photograph and will be invited to a winners workshop led by photography professionals and experts. Their work will be proudly exhibited at Surrey Heath Museum from 5th July 2013 where postcards and photo-books of the entries will be available to purchase.

Cllr Craig Fennell, portfolio holder for leisure said: ” This is a great chance to show off our borough of Surrey Heath and your photography skills. Surrey Heath is an area full of great people and places and we are really looking forward to seeing the variety of entries the competition gets”.
