First Patient Airlifted and To Land On The New Helipad At Frimley Park Hospital Camberley Surrey 16th October 2012

Early today the benifits of the new landing pad at Frimley Park Hospital, was proven when the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance became the first Air Ambulance to land with a patient requiring emergency medical treatment in the new emergency Trauma Centre.

The patient, a male in his early 50s is understood to have fallen from a ladder in the Bracknell area, sustaining severe shoulder and arm injuries, and for the first time, paramedics were able to give an option as to which Trauma Centre he wished to be airlifted to.

The patient was treated on the scene and within minutes in the air on the way to Frimley Park Hospital, where he is in a stable condition.
