Britain’s Bryant Takes Olmypic Bronze In The Judo

Camberley and British Judoka Karina Bryant,  and former five times silver medalist in the World Championships, and four times European Champion, took the Olympic Bronze medal today infront of a home packed arena at the ExCel Centre Docklands. Karina 33yrs of age missed six months of the 2011 season through neck injury, but a month long training camp in Japan at the start of 2012, got karina into Olympic shape for this fantastic Home Olympic Games and a Bronze medal. With the home supporters behind her and the home supporters of her judo club based in Camberley Surrey, karina faced the Ukranian Iryna Kindzerska in the womens +78Kg. As the Ukranian edged ahead 11-10, karina dropped Kindzerska over another Waz-ari to claim victory and the Bronze medal. What a fantastic achievment for local Camberley women karina Bryant, but also for the people of the Camberley and Surreyheath area who were behind her, and of course karina’s Camberley Judo Club         Well Done Karina, What a fantastic achievment. Camberley and the Borough are so proud of you.
